Tetsujin 28-gō in Japanese: 鉄人28号, means "Iron Man No. 28". It is a 1956 manga cartoon written and illustrated by Mitsuteru Yokoyama. The Giant Tetsujin 28 statue at Shin Nagata Kobe is a great free tourist attraction for fans of Japanese Manga. It is a giant robot statue dedicated to the 1950's cartoon called Tetsujin 28 go. It is over 18 meters tall. The Tetsujin 28 statue was made in honor of the 15th anniversary of the Great Hanshin earthquake that destroyed Kobe on January 17th, 1995.
